About EV Charging Levels
Level 2 (AC, 3–19 kW): Most common public charger. Adds 10–30 miles of range per hour. Typical cost: $0.20–$0.35/kWh or $1–$3/hour.
DC Fast Charge (50–350 kW): Rapid charging for long trips. Adds 100–200+ miles in 20–40 min. Typical cost: $0.30–$0.60/kWh.
Tesla Supercharger: Now open to non-Tesla vehicles at many locations via adapter. Pricing varies by location.
